Student Internship Experiences

Mia C.

My name is Mia, and I aspire to one day become a Medical Professional, specifically an ICU Nurse.  Because I also have a passion for nonprofit work, I completed my internship experience at the AnnieRuth Foundation.  During my internship, I learned how to track data, learn about different medical professionals and their backgrounds, learned to speak outside of my comfort zone, and most importantly, teamwork; I really enjoyed working with my coworkers.

Participating in this internship helped me realize that slow and steady is the way to go when using numbers. Even though l didn’t have hands-on medical experience over the summer, I had a chance to participate and learn new things that I’m sure I will use in the future. The AnnieRuth Foundation’s summer internship experience was amazing and I feel blessed to have had an opportunity to work with such amazing people.
