I completed my internship experience at a Nonprofit organization, the AnnieRuth Foundation. I served in the capacity of Program Coordinator. In this role, I managed 22 award recipients, helping guide and aid them in various tasks as they completed their summer internship experience. I also created documents and worked with different tech tools that helped our team successfully manage the others. In addition, I attended weekly medical seminars that opened my eyes to a variety of medical careers.
One of the best parts of this experience was building my skills from a business perspective. Throgh this experi3nce, I learn how to lead a room, build connections, and communicate effectively with others. Overall, I’ve gained insight into how organizations run, how to encourage others, and the value of stepping into leadership roles even outside of my future field, which is physical therapy. I am so grateful for the information I’ve gained through this internship and being able to be apart of something so special like The AnnieRuth Foundation!
