As a parent, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact this program has had on my son’s confidence, leadership, and career direction. As an employee, I couldn’t help but think about my company's strong commitment to education, workforce development, and community engagement; values that align directly with what the AnnieRuth Foundation delivers.
My internship experience helped me clarify my vision and goals as an entrepreneur. I left with a clearer understanding of what type of business I want to create and the values I want to uphold, setting a strong foundation for my entrepreneurial journey.
I want to take a moment to thank (the AnnieRuth Foundation) for presenting two workshops at the Mayor’s Young Leaders Advisory Council’s College, Career and Trades Fair. I just finished going over the surveys, and the students gave both of your presentations – “Understanding What Employers Want” and “Resume Development” – ratings of “excellent.” If the Advisory Council decides to host this event again next year, and I believe they will, you will be on the top of their invite list. Again, thank you for spending your Saturday helping Jacksonville’s young people gain valuable knowledge that will help them start and grow in their careers.
