As a parent, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact this program has had on my son’s confidence, leadership, and career direction. As an employee, I couldn’t help but think about my company's strong commitment to education, workforce development, and community engagement; values that align directly with what the AnnieRuth Foundation delivers.
My internship experience provided me with many invaluable skills and experiences that have helped further shape my interests towards the legal field. I learned a massive amount of inside information on how personal injury law works and the details of how personal injury cases are approached. The experience that I gained from working in the firm I simply cannot be taught through any lecture in any school, it was truly meaningful in-the-trenches work. I would say that I feel more confident going forward in my pursuit of the legal field.
My experience within the AnnieRuth Foundation is something I will never take for granted. I learned many things during the monthly Teams meetings, from business ethics to communication skills, along with the doctors I worked with during my summer internship. I cannot thank this organization enough for the things I was able to experience, and I will make sure all the information I gained during my time here will help me excel in my future. The AnnieRuth Foundation provided several especially important skills which proved not only helpful in preparing for the future, but also in daily life. For instance, building networks with individuals across a variety of specialties helps not only to have greater opportunities, but also a broader worldview. The segments on building a resume and interviewing were also valuable experiences in these crucial pieces in career genesis and development. Finally, especially in recent times, the importance of maintaining one’s physical, mental, and spiritual health were rightly emphasized by presenters within the program, allowing for direct applications of program material.
