My name is Alex and my career aspiration is to be a sports physician. During my internship experience, I was placed at Baptist Hospital, and I was in neurosurgery. Also, I only had two weeks of intern experience. Thank God for giving me the opportunity. Therefore, I took everything that I learned and embraced the short-term experience.
During my intern experiences, I learned how the surgeons moved, the different tools used, and the different patients with peculiar issues. The most important thing I learned is how surgeons are not just doctors but people with outstanding personalities. The patients would come in anxious but after talking to the doctor they would calm down.
Participating in the AnnieRuth Foundation gave me a direct path to my goals. Overall, AnnieRuth has helped me out a lot and has given me the opportunity of a lifetime.
